Police Records Imply Guardians of Unalived 4th Grader Knew She Was Abused by Alleged Pedophile Ortega

On May 8, 2025, I submitted the following request for public records to the City of Santa Rosa Police Department regarding alleged dog rapist and pedophile Jeremiah Ortega:

I am seeking body cam footage and dispatch records in reference to the cases below regarding Mr. Jeremiah Jessie Ortega. I believe these cases were investigated by SRPD. If the cases were handled by the Sheriff's Office, I can forward my request to them.

23-3848_Red.pdf - 3/31/2023 Petty theft report for 1061 N Dutton Ave. Santa Rosa at SPARC Cannabis Dispensary. Ortega pleaded no contest to three misdemeanor counts of petty theft in 2023.
Additional police records confirm that Mr. Ortega was located at the Perez Family’s Kingwood address on 3/31/2023. Ms. Cassie Perez is the mother of the late 4th grader Jianna Duran, a young girl who allegedly hung herself on Valentine’s Day, 2025.
Records Indicate Alleged Pedophile Jeremiah Ortega Resided With Family of Unalived Sebastopol 4th Grader

Sonoma County Superior Court records indicate that Mr. Ortega’s bail bond for petty theft was exonerated on June 15, 2023.
On July 26, 2023, Ms. Cassie Perez requested child support from Mr. Ortega for Ms. Jazmine Maria Ortega, Ms. Jianna Duran’s younger half-sister.
Four days later, on July 30, 2023 a new police report was filed regarding Mr. Ortega. The address & potential crime were redacted.
Who was the reporting person which called the Santa Rosa Police regarding Mr. Ortega on 7/30/2023?
Reporting party’s ____ told the reporting party that __________ and that it has been ongoing since she was ____. Who was ‘she’ whom informed the reporting party of a potential crime? Why did she need someone else to report the potential crime on her behalf? Was ‘she’ a minor?
The report stated ‘he used to live at the residence with them but no longer does’. What residence did this refer to, and why was the address redacted? When I received other police records, the full address was never redacted. One would presume the redactions are potentially due to an ongoing criminal investigation.
_____ told the reporting party that ______________ where they would go together, movie theaters, etc. Why was this information redacted, and what was being done by Ortega at the movie theaters, a dark and often semi-private location?
Several whistleblowers who were close with and / or family members of Jianna Duran informed me that Jeremiah Ortega was no longer welcome in the Perez Family’s Kingwood residence after a July 2023 incident. I was informed that Jianna’s grandparents filed a police report regarding sexual abuse allegations, but I cannot verify the validity of that statement.
Whistleblowers informed me that Ms. Cassandra Perez was able to obtain her own apartment from her employer, Varenna Luxury Senior Living in Santa Rosa. I cannot verify the validity of this statement, however a Varenna address pops up on her background check.
I also found an old LinkedIn profile which indicated that Ms. Perez was a food server at Varenna.
Because Varenna is a Senior Community, typically only senior residents are permitted to reside within their living spaces. I used to work at The Fountaingrove Club as the Executive Assistant to the COO and Board at 1525 Fountaingrove Pkwy. We used the Varenna meeting spaces for our annual Board retreat.
I requested police dispatch records for the unit located within the Varenna Apartments at 1399 Fountaingrove Pkwy. in which Ms. Cassandra Perez potentially resided.
A report regarding a domestic disturbance was produced on June 6, 2024. The reporting party suspected a man was beating his wife in front of three children. A female was screaming and the man was yelling ‘shut up b****/stupid. The reporting party indicated that the man was a gangster, and the wife/husband were in their late 30’s.
Ms. Cassandra Perez is approximately 36-years-old. Mr. Ortega is 26-years-old, but appears older.
The police spoke with the husband and wife. The kids and adults claimed they were fine, and no abuse took place. The wife claimed she was yelling at the kids to get ready, and they neighbors were upset that they were in the process of moving.
Per the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation into online sexual exploitation of children began in June of 2024. Mr. Ortega was eventually identified as the suspect.
Are each of these events completely coincidental? Did Ms. Cassandra Perez and her family have any knowledge of sexual exploitation or abuse of children at the mercy of Mr. Ortega?
I was informed by the Sherriff’s Office that the Coroner’s Report for Jianna Duran would be released approximately two weeks ago. I am yet to receive an update. Was her death truly a suicide, or is there more to the story?
