Santa Rosa High School Teacher NightSnow Vogt was asked to resign by the Santa Rosa City Schools District after allegedly kissing & exposing his penis to an Honors World History student; Vogt claimed the allegations were entirely false. After retaining legal representation, Mr. Vogt and the district reached a compromise and release agreement.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Mr. NightSnow Vogt was employed as a certificated teacher in Santa Rosa from August 2016 to February 2024.
Santa Rosa City Schools District (SRCS) March 13, 2024 personnel transactions indicated that Santa Rosa High School Teacher NightSnow Vogt resigned on February 28, 2024.
The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing indicates Mr. Vogt’s single subject teaching credential was renewed on March 21, 2025 and is set to expire on April 1, 2030. No adverse actions have been taken by the Commission.
On March 8, 2024, Ms. Vicki Zands, SRCS Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, provided notice of Mr. Vogt’s resignation to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
The letter regarding the change in employment status of the certificated employee stated that Vogt’s resignation was an incident to a settlement of pending dismissal charges regarding alleged inappropriate sexual conduct with a student.
The letter was included alongside supporting documentation:
The alleged misconduct regarding Mr. Vogt appeared to stem from a Uniform Complaint submitted by a parent to the SRCS District on August 28, 2023.
On February 28, 2024, Mr. Vogt and the District reached a compromise agreement and release which was approved by Board President Omar Medina.
It appeared that Mr. Vogt was represented by Rothner, Segall & Greenstone to reach a compromise agreement with the district.
The SRCS District previously used Whitestar Group to conduct investigations regarding alleged misconduct. However, it appears Mr. Vogt’s investigation was conducted by a District administrator rather than a trained and neutral third party.
It appears that Mr. Vogt is not currently teaching, but is employed as an Account Manager for Magnum Media as of February 2024. Why did Mr. Vogt give up his beloved passion of teaching in public schools?
Why did Santa Rosa City Schools temporarily halt services with a third-party, neutral investigator? Are our students safe on SRCS campuses?
