Sonoma County First 5 Commission's Strategic Plan Supports Racism Towards Caucasians in the Name of DEI
The Commission is teaching staff, preschool age children & their families that white people are born with poisonous privilege

Subject: please correct your statement
Hello Adina,
Since you're demonstrating such a strong interest in First 5 Sonoma County's work, it's important that you understand that First 5 Sonoma does not operate preschools or any other programs that directly serve children. Our primary role is as an administrator of public funding. We also provide training and other professional development for the early learning field.
I personally respect your right to criticize First 5's approaches to the agency's work, but I implore you to, at minimum, describe First 5's role in the community factually.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

My email response
Good Morning Ms. Dillon,
Thank you for reaching out to me. The language I included in my article below was pulled directly from the First 5 Commission’s website.
https://first5sonomacounty.org/about/
Could you please explain exactly what you’re requesting to be corrected within the article? Are the programs the Commission chooses to fund in alignment with the Strategic Plan’s commitment to DEI?
I did not mention your position or name in my article because it was in no way directed at you. I’m simply disgusted by the racial narratives in our community. No race should be made to feel inferior.
Thank you & God Bless.
Ms. Dillon’s Response
Thank you for responding. The statements I’m requesting that you correct are around the role that First 5 plays in the community. First 5 is an administrator of funding for programs through community planning and contracts. We do not provide any direct services at all, we don’t provide preschool programs or any other programs.
Thank you, appreciate your efforts to report accurately.

My Response
Ms. Dillon,
Thank you for your response. I will paste our conversation into the article as an amendment. As I stated within my article, and you reiterated, the First 5 Commission provides preschool programs by means of funding. I am sorry if you misinterpreted my statements as something different. The funding goes towards programs and advocating for policies in alignment with the Commission's Strategic Plan that 'produce better futures for our children'.
Thank you & God Bless.
Ms. Dillon’s Response
Thanks, yes, that's correct. When you stated that First 5 is "teaching preschoolers..." I'm concerned that might leave the public with the impression that First 5 directly serves children, but we do not. Any content related to First 5's approach around planning, prioritizing community needs, contracting and funding (the bulk of our activities) is intended for adult stakeholders, not children. I appreciate the opportunity to make this clarification.
My Response
Thank you for you comments, Ms. Dillon. It concerns me that the adult stakeholders aligned with the Commission are those indoctrinating our early learners with racism stemming directly from the Commission’s Strategic Plan. Racism is taught to our youth by racist adults. I amended my article accordingly per our conversation. I am begging you to be a part of the solution, not the problem.
Multiple Sonoma County residents informed me that a White Supremacy Culture poster was adorned to the walls of the Sonoma County First 5 Commission’s Office located at the Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE).
First 5 Sonoma County invests in Sonoma County’s youngest children by funding programs and services that promote, support, and improve the early development of children from the prenatal stage through age five.
As a biracial woman, Asian & European, I found this poster to be appalling. I was not aware that we reverted back to the Jim Crow era of segregation
I truly thought that local constituents were joking, and the poster was a meme. However, I was tragically mistaken!
The 2023 Strategic Plan for the First 5 Commission devoted an entire impact area to Disrupting White Supremacy Culture under the umbrella of Working Framework to Advance Diversity, Equity, Belonging & Anti-Racism.
The First 5 Commission has appointed some of the most racist Commissioners in our community. It terrifies me that these folks are driving the narratives surrounding ‘anti-racism’.
Our Caucasian Sonoma County Supervisor James Gore has served on the Commission for the past few years. In my humble opinion, he is the epitome of a ‘white supremacist’.
Supervisor Gore frequently selects token ‘minorities’ such as the former Sonoma County Deputy Counsel and Equity Officer Alegria De La Cruz to due his bidding, and drive ‘nonprofits’ for family and friends to cash out. Ms. De La Cruz is half Latina, and half white, but chooses to continually sell out the Latino population.
Together, she and Supervisor Gore helped develop the Sonoma County AG Pass Program. While Sonoma County residents evacuate during the fires, the farmworkers, primarily Latino, are given a pass to continue working under dangerous conditions. De La Cruz & Gore felt that badges which mirror Nazi Germany were appropriate for our farmworkers, and tried to shift the blame to our Sheriff’s Office.
Supervisor Gore also helped to promote the business of a local pimp who has trafficked primarily women of color. To this day, Supervisor Gore cannot confirm why he backed alleged rapists, pedophiles and pimps.
The Sonoma County Democrats have found a fabulous way to encourage racial division amongst our community while bleeding taxpayers dry through NGO and equity consultant funding. The self-proclaimed ‘white allies’ are truly some of the most racist individuals to walk the earth. I am not a Democrat or a Republican for I clearly understand Hegelian Dialectic.
Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. -Hebrews 12:14

How can a program claim "anti-racism" while being racist toward white people?
My "whiteness" is an intrinsic, un-changeable characteristic - but it doesn't say anything about me any more than another color worn by another person. There are plenty of white people born into poverty all over the world - are they "privileged"?
The fact that I share the same skin tone as James Gore doesn't make me a white supremacist.
Honestly, my whole life (I'm 62) I was never more aware of race until the last 4 or 5 years made it a focal point. For 57 years, people were just people - we were all working together, building lives, supporting our families, and embracing diversity long before it was forced down our throat by idealogue leftists. I still judge a person by the quality of their character, not by their skin tone or accent.
This crap is out of control.
