Sonoma County Equity Training Attacks White Staff
The County of Sonoma Equity Office's Racial Equity Foundation teaches 'anti-racist' practices for those in a 'position of whiteness'
The County of Sonoma Equity Office's Racial Equity Foundation teaches 'anti-racist' practices for those in a 'position of whiteness'.
In the summer of 2020, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors created the Sonoma County Office of Equity to allegedly recognize and celebrate our powerful role in unseating racial inequity in our communities.
The County established an Equity Core Team in mid-2021 to advance equity initiatives across all departments in collaboration with the Office of Equity. The Office of Equity was instructed to develop a system to foster a shared understanding of key racial equity concepts across the County and its leadership.
However, it appeared that the Office was better utilized as a money grab for disbursing ‘nonprofit’ grants. Somehow, the Office continually distributed massive contracts to the friends & family members of former County Equity Officer Alegria De La Cruz.
Nothing screams ‘equity’ & ‘equality’ more than a team entirely comprised of women!
Participants had the opportunity to be split into a Zoom Affinity Group amongst their own race & decide upon their ‘superpowers’.
The training made sure to emphasize to white participants that they are privileged and the problem.

Nothing shouts ‘anti-racism’ better than grouping folks together by race, and pitting ‘BIPOC’ / white people against each other.
