While I’m not a Democrat or a Republican, I frequently attend Sonoma County GOP meetings because conservatives don’t have me escorted out by the police such as their liberal counterparts. Republicans generally appreciate my inquiries, and often feel omitted from important discussions about their communities.
Thankfully, Santa Rosa Mayor Mark Stapp participated in yesterday’s Speaker Series for the Sonoma County Republican Party. I’m hoping this bridge will help kick off more opportunities to introduce conservative viewpoints into discussions amongst our local representatives.
While this matter should be non-partisan, Sonoma County is facing grave danger due to the impending decommissioning of the Potter Valley Dam.
Under the leadership of Mayor Todd Lands, The City of Cloverdale has been outspoken in their quest to find alternatives to the loss of critical water diversions. Political leaders and Farm Bureaus across Sonoma, Lake and Mendocino Counties have vocalized their worries, and have even requested support from the Trump Administration.
