Roseland Charter Schools Filled With Nepotism
Why is the Charter Board allowing district staff to double dip into taxpayer monies through CBO contracts?
The Aug 14, 2024 Board of Directors Regular Charter Meeting Agenda for Roseland Charter Schools has presented consent items of concern. While the Roseland district is comprised of a general district board & separate charter board, the issues which have surfaced stem entirely from the charter board’s oversight (or lack of).
The Consultant/Contract List, Accounts Payable Report & Purchase Order Report requests two separate payments for Keystone Training & Therapy Services for the 2024-2025 school year. One line item requests $109,300.00 for the period of 7/1/2024 to 6/30/2025 for community outreach. The second line item requests $196,900.00 for mental health therapists for the same time frame.
The corporate filing submitted to the California Secretary of State indicates that the entity is a stock corporation. Stock corporations are for-profit organizations that issue shares of stock to shareholders (also known as stockholders) to raise capital, with each share representing partial ownership of the corporation and granting shareholders certain ownership rights that shape company policies.
The stock corporation also operates Keystone Therapy and Training Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization.
Ms. Erica Bosque / Mr. Dominic Bosque appear as the Chief Executive Officer, CFO/Secretary for both the for profit entity and nonprofit foundation.
Dr. Erica Bosque is a former Counselor to the Roseland Public School District.
Mr. Dominic Bosque is a substitute teacher for the Roseland District.
Per the obituary of Ms. Dona Bosque, she was the aunt of Ms. Erica Bosque, Ms. Veronica Bosque and Ms. Alexica Bosque. Ms. Alexica Bosque appears to currently be employed as the Student Services Manager for Roseland Accelerated Middle School.
Ms. Veronica Bosque is a former AVID Teacher for Roseland University Prep High School. She is currently employed as the Program Director for Keystone, but omitted the company name from her LinkedIn.
According to a November 2023 blog post by Healthcare Foundation Northern Sonoma County, Ms. Yadira Esparza is a school-based bilingual, bicultural therapist for Roseland School District. She is also a therapist and counselor at Santa Rosa’s Keystone Therapy and Training Services.
Ms. Michelle Ruszyck is a former high school teacher for Roseland University Prep High School. She resigned from her position to become the Professional Development Support Consultant at Keystone Therapy Services.
Her Keystone bio stated the following:
“Starting a new job doing this dream that our Keystone founders started in a warehouse, which was our school, in a small office that barely fit 6 of us. We dreamed of a day when we could solve problems and provide services that we felt people need that were unavailable due to many limiting factors. The day has come! I was able to take the risk because I had the support of my family, my friends who I get to work with at Keystone and believing in myself and others that we can truly achieve what we are passionate about, we just might need a bit of a hand. This was big risk that I took. I have worked as a Special Education Teacher for over 20 years.”
Dr. Katie Price appeared to be a former English Teacher for Roseland University Prep (RUP). She is the current Education Support Specialist for Keystone.
District meeting archives indicate that Keystone originally received contract approvals from the Roseland Charter Board in 2023. On September 13, 2023, the Board approved a contract for a Community Outreach Specialist Agreement with Keystone Training and Therapy Services presented by Ms. Haley Piazza. The total contract amount was for $109,300 (limit) to service all of the Roseland Charter Schools (RAMS, RCP, RUP).
Ms. Piazza is the current Director of Secondary Education for Roseland Accelerated Middle School. She works directly with Ms. Veronica Bosque at RAMS.
She appears to share a mortgage with Mr. Alex Piazza, a current teacher within the Roseland District.
Final Thoughts
It appears that when ‘BIPOC’ individuals are willing to accommodate the agendas of their colonial counterparts to promote ‘wokeness’ and destroy their own communities, they are handed contracts without question. This mirrors the public school indoctrination across the nation which has embraced socialist and communist ideologies.
How are these contracts being presented to district staff for school board approval? Who are the shareholders for the Keystone Training & Therapy Services stock corporation? Are district staff double dipping into taxpayer monies by contracting with themselves? Why is the Charter School Board encouraging this behavior, and are they financially benefitting as well.
“Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.”
