Progressive Tribal Alliance Received $171k Security Grant From Newsom's Office While Partnering With Alleged Dog Rapist
As of August 31, 2021, Mr. Jack Pollard founded Sonoma County’s Progressive Tribal Alliance.
Annually, the Governor's Office of Emergency Services operates the California State Nonprofit Security Grant Program (CSNSGP) to provide funding support for target hardening and other physical security enhancements to nonprofit organizations that are at high risk for violent attacks and hate crimes due to ideology, beliefs, or mission.
The FY 2024 California State Nonprofit Security Grant Program (CSNSGP) allocations indicated that Progressive Tribal Alliance received a subaward of $171k.
On May 11 2024, the Alliance held a Native Arts Festival at the Windsor Town Green.
Per The Press Democrat:
Guests were treated to a steady drumbeat of Native musicians and dancers, including the Tri-County Pomo Dancers, Manchester Point Arena Pomo Dancers, Round Valley Feather Dancers and the Native Resistance Drum Corps.
The Progressive Tribal Alliance appears to partner frequently with the Tri-County Pomo Dancers.
Lead dancer, 26-year-old Jeremiah Ortega, was recently arrested for alleged possession of child pornography and sexual assault of small dogs.
Mr. Ortega appears to have a history of criminal activity:
Ortega was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol just 1.5 weeks before the 2024 Native Arts Festival.
As intended with the $171k grant from the Governor's Office of Emergency Services, has Progressive Tribal Alliance supported the Program’s objectives? The CSNSGP seeks to integrate the preparedness activities of nonprofit organizations with broader state and local preparedness efforts. Should the grant funds be revoked and returned in full to the Governor’s Office?
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”
