MCHS Auto Teacher Resigned After Sexually Grooming Students & Drinking on the Job
Drew Zapadinsky, a CTE automotive teacher at Maria Carrillo High School, was asked to resign by the SRCS district due to egregious misconduct while encouraging minor alcohol consumption
Per the Santa Rosa City Schools District (SRCS) personnel transactions, the resignation of Maria Carrillo High School Automotive Teacher Drew Zapadinsky was Board approved as of September 30, 2024.
Mr. Zapadinsky was a certificated employee assigned to teach Automotive Technology (“auto shop”), a Career Technical Education (“CTE”) course, at Maria Carrillo High School (“Maria Carrillo” or “MCHS”). He was employed as a teacher in the District since August 2018.
On September 30, 2024, Ms. Vicki Zands, SRCS Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, provided notice of Mr. Zapadinsky’s resignation to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
The letter was attached to a full report of the allegations and evidence brought forth to support the district’s recommendation for Mr. Zapadinsky’s resignation:

The database for the Commission on Teacher Credentialing does not currently show any adverse Commission actions taken regarding Mr. Zapadinsky.
As of September 13, 2024, it appears that Mr. Zapadinsky is the CEO of Seven Z's Sport and Fish LLC.
