Judge Broderick dismissed 2021 allegations that Santa Rosa Junior College Trustee Burns sexually assaulted a student - Broderick was simultaneously employed with SRJC as a political science teacher
On July 14, 2021, former Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) Student Adrian Cardenas sent an email to President Dr. Frank Chong alleging that former Trustee Jordan Burns began sexually abusing him in 2014. He was 12 years old.
Sonoma County Superior Court Judge Patrick Broderick dismissed the allegations that SRJC Trustee Burns molested a student. Broderick was employed with SRJC as a political science teacher from approximately 2013 - 2016. Burns served as an SRJC Trustee from 2014 - 2021.
Trustee Burns’ Officers for his nonprofit, Children’s Humanitarian International, included Secretary Robert R. Ethington, Sr. Dean of Students, Santa Rosa Junior College.
It appears that Mr. Burns relocated to the Greater Seattle Area.
On May 20, 2020, former SRJC Student Adrian Cardenas filed a lawsuit for personal injury against Trustee Jordan Burns. Broderick was assigned as the judicial officer.
As of March 21, 2022, the case was dismissed without prejudice by Judge Broderick.
Broderick has continually been assigned to rule on cases which include Sonoma County Junior College District (Santa Rosa Junior College) as a party. The cases were repeatedly dismissed.
